Our purpose is to provide safe and fun riding instruction while helping learn about lessons in horsemanship, sportsmanship & life through interaction with horses.
CHS specializes in teaching children, giving them a firm foundation in riding as well as other equine skills.

- Weekly group lessons for those riders who are just learning or those riders who want to learn but not compete.
- Horse Show opportunities for those riders who want to compete on their own using a CHS horse or their horse.
- One on one (private lessons) on your horse or a CHS horse.
- Leasing program for those who want some extra practice.
Weekly Group Lesson Program
4 Eight Week sessions during the school year
Designed for riders who do not want to compete, but who still want a firm foundation in riding and knowledge of horses
CHS school horses are used for this program.
Equipment required: Velvet(een) riding helmet, riding boots (paddock or field boots). Rental is available from CHS @ $5 per lesson.
PERFECT PONIES SCHOOL $240 each session of 8 weeks
K5-2nd grade or first time riders; 2-4 riders per group

Lessons taught Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:15 – 4:15
HEAVENLY HORSES SCHOOL $280 each session of 8 weeks
3rd -12th grade; 3-6 riders per group depending on level

Unmounted lessons
Lessons taught T & Th 4:15-5:45, W 3:30-5:00; this includes taking care of horse & tack as well as riding time.

Cricket Hollow Equestrian Team (CHET)
Designed for riders who want to compete and focus on their riding and horsemanship skills.
Group lessons taught on Wednesdays, one practice on Mondays and other practices to be determined individually.
Private lessons taught according to individual’s schedule.
Fees will be different for those who bring their own horse.
Show Team
$225/mo 1group lesson/wk + 1-2 practices/wk
$300/mo 1 private lesson/wk + 1-2 practices/wk
Riders may ride CHS horses or use their own
Competitions include:
Harmon Hopefuls & PSJ Schooling Shows
Lessons & practice start Aug 22.
Requirements:
~4th grade - college
~riders must be able to safely navigate a horse in a group
~riders must attend 3 shows per year with CHS (not to include home shows) – fees are extra for shows
~riding pants/tall boots for lessons; more casual attire for practices
INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
Private lessons $50 per lesson; rider must be able to WTC & tack up
Beginner private lesson $60 per lesson
A trip fee is charged if instructor travels to individual’s barn
LEASING is available to riders capable of safely managing a horse. Please talk to Harriet individually about schedule and prices.
